A step-by-step guide

1. Make a list of different aspects you would like your team to think about while generating ideas. This list can contain insights collected in the design research or characteristics of the solution.

2. Find different examples for each of the categories and within these categories you can look for different types of examples. You can include examples that are directly connected to the topic or field of your project, a little different or completely different than the topic but related to the aspects.

3. Set up a slide presentation to show the examples with the title, a description and why this example is relevant.  It is of course also possible to create a physical presentation

4. Share the presentation with your team and other relevant stakeholders and ask all participants to take notes of elements they like from the different ideas. Present all the ideas and then allow people time to review the ideas in more detail and take notes of the things they like.

Tip: this presentation could also be given by presenting real products, creating a sort of shopping experience or a gallery with products and ideas.
